Product Review: Kelly Teegarden Organics Lip Gloss

Today I am pleased to bring you another product from Kelly Teegarden Organics, their Lip Gloss!  I have said before that I love Kelly's products and everything her company stands for but I am a lip gloss snob!  I am very picky when it comes to lip gloss and I have quite a collection.  I have complaints about most lip glosses whether it be the color just isn't right or my number one complaint, the formula is too sticky.  You know what I mean?  You put on your lip gloss and within a few minutes your lips feel like a sticky mess?  I can't tell you how many times that has happened to me!  Did Kelly Teegarden Organics' Lip Gloss live up to my high standards?  Read on to find out!

My Impression:  When I first got these in the mail the very first thing I noticed about them is the mirror on the side.

I love that these have their own mirror on the side!  No need to carry an extra mirror to apply lip gloss.  The mirror is just the right size too!

The next thing I noticed about these adorable glosses is that they have...ready for this...a built in light!

The picture is slightly blurry because the only way I could capture the light was to turn off the flash.  I mean, how cool is this?  I could apply my lip gloss in total darkness!  I mean, I'm sure that's not what Kelly intended when she put the light in there but the point is, if I so choose, I could put my lip gloss on in total darkness...right?  At first I wasn't exactly sure why there was a light on there.  I mean, why would I need a light on my lip gloss?  Then, while on the bus headed home from work one day I took out my lip gloss, used the mirror to apply, and I figured out exactly why that little light is helpful.  The light shines directly onto your lips to help you apply your gloss perfectly, even in low light situations, like the bus.

So, I thought the mirror was awesome, and the light even more awesome, but what did I think of the gloss itself?  I am pleased to tell you that this is by far the best lip gloss I have ever used!  Seriously, I'm not just saying that, I actually mean it.  I don't have any of the complaints that I normally have with lip gloss.  The color pigmentation is perfect, it is just the right amount of "sheerness" (I think I just made up another word!) and most importantly- it is NOT sticky!  This stuff feels so nice on my lips and it smells really good too!  It kind of has a very light minty smell to it.

The colors I received were Jen and Amber.  Perfect for my skin tone and very light and sheer, leaning more towards brown and gold.

I promise, one day I will be brave enough to do lip swatches. :)

I would definitely recommend these glosses if you are looking for an amazing lip gloss made with natural and safe ingredients.  The lip gloss sells for $25.00 and you can pick them up here.  I think the price is right on target for a good quality lip gloss and compares with other brands such as Stila lip gloss which retails for about $22.00.

Good morning!  I hope all of you had a fantastic weekend!  Sorry that I took a little break but we went on a mini vacation up to the mountains in Western Maryland.  We had a good time but it poured rain most of the time.  Nonetheless I am feeling relaxed and ready to tackle the week!  Today I'm bringing you another fantastic product from Kelly Teegarden Organics- The Royal - Body Lotion.

My Impression:  I am religious when it comes to applying body lotion after a shower. Every single time I get out of the shower I apply lotion to my wet skin and let it absorb for a second before drying off. I loved the feel of this lotion! It was smooth and soft but also didn't leave my skin feeling greasy which is a big turn off for me and the problem with a lot of lotions on the market today. After applying the lotion my skin was left with a subtle glow, perfect for a sexy night on the town or simply a relaxing day on the beach. Speaking of relaxing, the scent of this lotion is a very relaxing combination of lavender, lemon and marjoram. Overall I would recommend this product if you are looking for a natural body lotion that gives your skin a sexy glow! Plus, you can't go wrong with all of the amazing ingredients packed inside of this stuff! Product Review: Kelly Teegarden Organics Regenerate - Body Polish

Good morning!  Today I'm excited to bring you a review of another one of Kelly Teegarden Organics' amazing products- Regenerate - Body Polish!  I know I've said it in the past but what I love about this company is the story behind it.  Kelly Teegarden is a thyroid cancer survivor who has made it her mission to help to reduce the risk of cancer by eliminating cancer causing chemicals in the products we put on our skin every single day.  Kelly has developed a product line that is made with Certified Organic and Natural ingredients and contains no cancer causing ingredients.  Unfortunately, cancer has taken too many lives in my family for me to not take it seriously.  It's unfortunate that it took me this long to worry about the chemicals that I have been putting on my skin but when my son was born it suddenly became much more important to me.

My Impression: The product itself has a nice light scent. It is also a very gentle body polish unlike others that I have tried that are hard or rough on your skin. This is great news for someone like me who has very sensitive and light skin so any redness or irritation is magnified. Plus, the fact that it is chemical free is a huge plus for me. KTO recommends cleansing first and the applying a thin coat and gently massaging your face for 15 to 30 seconds. You can also use this on your body as well.

Another problem I have had in the past with body polishes is that some of them have an oily consistency and leave my skin feeling a little oily after use. This one doesn't have that oily consistency and leaves my skin feeling fresh and smooth after use. It also doesn't have a harsh smell so it doesn't interfere with whatever scent you apply after getting out of the shower.

Overall, I think this the perfect body polish to use if you have concerns about the type of chemicals you are putting on your skin. In addition, this body polish is perfect for summertime use because it isn't heavy and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy after use.
